  • EVO x ELEN Pride Kick-Off Party

    Evolution Wonderlounge 10220 - 103 St NW, Edmonton, AB, Canada

    It's time to start the Pride Season off right and enjoy the last summer in the original Evo space. They've been kind enough to give ELEN members the chance at free admission for the Official Kick-Off Friday with RSVP.

    Superstar Sapphic Edmonton DJ Lady Luck is in the booth and we will have a reserved area with special surprises and Pride swag. Alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks available as well as local craft faves.

    Free entry until 11pm for ELEN members. **MUST PRE-REGISTER BY JUNE 6-12PM** Each spot requires a unique name to be held.

    Please be advised this venue has a set of stairs into the lower level space. Gender neutral bathrooms are available.
    Evolution Wonderlounge has pay parking nearby and is located near many transit routes.

  • Sapphic Saturday – Late Night Dinner & Dance Party

    While we mourn the final closure of EVO Downtown, we look forward to new exciting collabs with the lovely folks at EVO on Jasper! This time we will celebrate and mix over a later evening supper together and then dance on the mezzanine afterwards to Sapphic fave DJ Lady Luck.
    Our last dinner party was a fun social hit with delicious food, drink deals and wonderful friends new and old. This time--plus dancing!! No cover rush begins at 10pm ($7 cover after 10:30 includes free coat check), if you come for dinner you're automatically in free to the club night.
    TWO EXCITING FLOORS TO CHECK OUT, yes there is an upstairs to chill or watch the fun below. There's also two pool tables nearby to our reserved space.
    Zero alcohol drink menu available. House cocktails. Domestic and craft beers available by the pitcher. Beer-alternatives on tap. SEA CHANGE! 16 draft selections on the main floor. Regular menu available for ordering with Vegetarian and Gluten Free options. Be advised kitchen closes at 10pm.
    Who knows if this is popular perhaps we will see more theme nights like this!

    Please be advised this will be the only way to confirm your reserved spot for dinner with the ELEN group. You must RSVP to save your seat for the meal. Regular food menu ordering will be available until 10pm. Space is limited.
    The dance party is open to all, but we will continue to have a reserved spot in the back to relax and mingle for ELEN members in a Sapphic-focused environment. Full cocktail and tap menu will be available while you dance the night away!
    Accessibility notes: First floor including washrooms and entrance are accessible. Please contact us beforehand to guarantee mobility needs and seating.

  • Sapphic Dinner & Dance Party

    You heard right, our debut of this event last November had a record number of 110 attendees so we just gotta do it again!!

    We're back at EVO on Jasper for another Saturday Night SAPPHIC DINNER & DANCE PARTY at #YourGayBar.

    Tickets are a low cost donation to ELEN or free but you must pre-register. Dinner tix automatically include free cover to the club.

    We've heard your feedback and have adjusted things to make this night even better. This time we'll be offering more seating by accessing both the upstairs lounge and the main floor.

    We will also be checking folx in at the door to help them get situated. You asked for more ways to mix and mingle: this time enjoy a cocktail & mocktail social hour until 9pm. We will have low key and casual mingling activities and other ways to assist those who are nervous or introverted to potentially meet and make new friends!

    Dinner seating will happen across two floors:
    -The upstairs lounge provides a more quiet and chill space and will feature long 'social' tables. Check out the views from the balcony or visit your dedicated bartenders.
    -The main floor will feature seating options in large booths, tables of various sizes and accessibility areas. This floor features a large bar, two pool tables and dancing on the mezzanine.

    ELEN volunteers will be spread out across both to assist you.

    This dinner features Evo's regular food menu and specials. Simply order and pay your own tab. We are hoping to offer a limited quantity of donated meals again to those who are low income, please contact ELEN for more info.

  • Summer Camp in the City: All Ages Fundraiser & Silent Auction

    ELEN can't wait to host another fundraiser for Beyond The Trees: Alberta's Inclusive Overnight Outdoor Youth Camp! We are so pleased to be collabing with Evo to offer dinner service for this one.

    This all ages event will welcome youth, parents, siblings, families, volunteers and supporters of all the amazing programming BTT has to offer. While raising money for a good cause, you get an awesome burger meal deal and the opportunity to play cute campy games that re-create a summer experience. Fill out your camp Passport by participating to receive a prize.

    This year Beyond the Trees will host Leadership Camp, Camp Borealis Overnight and Day Camps, Born this Way and the newly launched Born this Way: Family Style (for queer fams). At Beyond The Trees, every child is not just welcomed but celebrated for their unique essence.
    We are so excited that Evo is offering a cheeseburger and beer bundle included in every regular ticket purchase.

    **Absolutely no modifications or substitutions. **Pop can be substituted for beer. This is the only modification allowed.

    It's round 3 and we're ready for another jam packed night of Sapphic vibes and wlw energy. Tix are $5 donation to ELEN (low income free entry available). Pre-registration for our dinner session is required. Accessible seating can be reserved. 18+. Order and pay your own tab.
    We have been so fortunate to attract over 150-200 folks for these events so far! That's not including the hundreds who have showed up later just to dance together. Our dance party again begins with DJ Lady Luck spinning starting at 10pm on the mainfloor.

    Please note this event employs social seating, you may be sitting with people you don't know and that's all part of the fun. Dinner spots will be capped at 100 this time and registration will be closed once we meet this mark.

    Evo hosts us for this event, and every collab we do with them, for free. No rental fee and 100% of the donation for entry tickets goes to ELEN. All proceeds from the meal sponsorships go directly to food for low income attendees. Dinner tix automatically include free cover to the club!
    We have an extremely unique photo op this time, get your shot taken with the one and only poet and 6th century BCE icon Sappho, visiting Edmonton from the Greek Isle of Lesbos for the long weekend.

    We will be getting folk situated at the door via check-in. Opt-in tags will feature names, pronouns and stickers denoting those looking for friendship, dating and/or non-monogamous dating or simply stay away status. The dinner portion of the evening includes lowkey mingling activities and casual games. Two pool tables in the space. ELEN volunteers will be on-site all night to assist you.

    We employ the FLINTA model and are Sapphic & Trans* oriented, meaning for those who are Female and/or Non-Binary identified including wlw, lesbians, bisexuals, pansexuals, 2Spirit, Non-Binary, Gender Fluid and all those who fall under the Trans* umbrella. We work to make accessibility a priority. Our events are proudly age diverse, celebrate all bodies and try to better integrate BIPOC and racially diverse folx. We attempt to address class disparity by making our events as open and inclusive as possible.
