POP-UP PIE SHOP: Mom’s Basement (80’s theme)
Enjoy mouth watering pies as you travel back to the totally rad 80’s. Hosted at the bitchin’ Evolution Wonderlounge, this pop-up pie shop has everything! Pride Vibes, 1980s dress and decor (4pm), bodacious cartoons (4:30 pm), and totally tubular live music (5:15pm).
Enjoy three mouth watering artisanal flavours: Kiki Key-Lime Pie, Chocolate Peanut-Butter Mousse, and Derrick Berry Crumble Thrupple (Strawberry, Blueberry, Raspberry). All pies are gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian (the berry crumble is Vegan!).
About the baker: Evan Westfal is a queer baker located on treaty 6 territory. A stickler for quality, Westfal’s pies are sourced from simple quality ingredients. Pies are baked with inclusion and accessibility in mind, gluten-free/dairy-free & vegan options are always available. You might recognize Westfal from his hit song “Gay Pirates.” When he isn’t baking up a storm, Westfal is busy singing, songwriting, and recording music.
